The Web Design Process

Now that your brand has been established, it’s time to get started on your website design! I design most of my websites using Wix, because it is easier for you to edit your site once the project is complete. Plus, Wix comes equipped with a slew of free business tools, like email marketing, a social media editor, and customer relationship management software.

Conversely, if Wix isn't the right fit for your website, I'll discuss other options with you. Whether that be Shopify, WooCommerce, or Wordpress.

Tailored Website Design and the Right Platform for Your Success

01.  Consultation

After your initial inquiry, I will set up a phone call or a virtual meeting so that I can get a feel for what you need and the scope of your project. During our consultation, we'll have an open conversation, leaving you with a better understanding of how I can help you, what pricing looks like, and what is involved in the design process. This will give us both a chance to get to know one another and see if we're a good fit!

02. Formal Proposal & Contract

If all goes well in our meeting and we feel this is a good match, I will put together a formal proposal for our project. If you approve of everything, I will have you sign the proposal, and we can move forward with booking your project.

03.  Booking & Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot in my schedule. This deposit is nonrefundable and is valid for one year from the invoice date.

04.  Pre-Work & Homework

After you've secured your spot in my schedule, I will onboard you into my project management system where your pre-work and homework (don't worry – it's fun!) will be outlined, along with due dates and project timelines. A few ideas of tasks that are required before your project starts are the filling out of my Brand Discovery Questionnaire, creation of a Pinterest board, website content, and photography.

05.  Design

During this phase I will craft your website using the Wix Editor, making sure to incorporate your new or existing brand into the design.

After your website has been designed to about 90% completion, I will send you a link to view your website. Here, you'll be able to note any comments or changes that you'd like to see.

06.  Launch

Once your site is approved and the final payments have been made, I will launch your website! We will also schedule a time for you to have a recorded tutorial via Google Meet, so that I can show you how to make changes and updates to your website.

The Process

The web design process takes approximately 5 weeks to complete. All time estimates are dependent upon the individual project, number/complexity of revisions, client response timeliness, and my current booking schedule.
