WoodChuck South Carolina is a company focusing on period restorations and custom furniture. Keeping in mind the ornate nature of period homes in South Carolina, the idea was to create a logo that allowed for flexibility. In fact, one might notice that the WoodChuck brand has a variety of logo variations. This was done intentionally to allow for usage based on context. For example, the framed logo with decorative border feels more established, as it reflects the traditional nature old homes. The logo without the border can be used in situations where the bordered variation would reduce legibility. And finally, the variation without any decoration, is to be used for the custom furniture aspect of the brand, where neither decorative logo would be appropriate.
